When is Yuzu shutting down?
Yuzu will officially shut down on August 4th, 2026. After this date, the app will no longer be accessible.
Why is Yuzu shutting down?
We’ve made the difficult decision to close Yuzu as we focus on other experiences. We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who was part of the journey.
What will happen to my account and data?
Your account will remain accessible until the shutdown date. After that, your account will be closed.
After shutdown, your account data will be deleted or, where necessary, securely retained only as required for legal, regulatory, or safety purposes in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Please save the content you would like to keep before August 4th, 2026.
If you would like to close your account before shutdown, you can do so through in-app settings or by contacting customer support.
What happens to my matches, messages, and connections?
All matches, messages, and connections will no longer be available after Yuzu shuts down.
We recommend exchanging contact information with anyone you’d like to stay in touch with before August 4th, 2026.
What happens to subscriptions, billing, and refunds?
Yuzu subscriptions are managed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
- We will stop offering new subscriptions ahead of shutdown
- Auto-renewal will be turned off, so you will not be billed after Yuzu shuts down
- Your subscription will remain active until the end of your current billing period or until Yuzu shuts down on August 4th, 2026, whichever is earlier.
No action is required, but you may cancel your subscription at any time through your device settings if you prefer.
Refunds
Refunds are handled directly by the app stores:
- iOS users must request refunds through Apple
- Android users must request refunds through Google Play
Will Yuzu still be available to download?
Yuzu may be removed from the App Store and Google Play before the shutdown date. Existing users will still be able to access the app until service ends.
What should I do before Yuzu shuts down?
- Exchanging contact information with connections you want to keep
- Reviewing or canceling your subscription if desired
- Closing your account if you prefer
