What is Expanded Discovery & Interaction, and how does it work?

Expanded Discovery & Interaction is a feature that, when enabled, allows your profile to appear in discovery and search experiences across other Match Group Services. If someone on another Match Group service is interested in connecting with you, they may be prompted to create a profile on the service you use to interact with you, or to use a feature to interact with you directly (where available). This helps increase your visibility and connect you with more people beyond a single app.

What information is visible on my Expanded Discovery & Interaction profile?

Only the information you’ve chosen to include on your profile is eligible to be shown. This may include photos, bio details, and basic profile attributes. Your profile information will be displayed in a way that aligns with each platform’s experience.

How can I turn off Expanded Discovery & Interaction?

You can turn off Expanded Discovery & Interaction features anytime from your Privacy Preference Center in your account.

To do that:

Go to Settings
Go to Your Privacy Choices
Go to Match Group Data Sharing Permissions
Toggle off Expanded Discovery & Interaction

Once turned off, your profile will no longer appear across other Match Group services.

Will turning off Expanded Discovery & Interaction affect my experience?

Possibly. Turning off Expanded Discovery & Interaction may reduce your visibility and limit the number of potential connections you may discover or be discovered by, since your profile will only appear within your current app. However, your experience and functionality within your current app will otherwise remain the same.

Can I turn it back on later?

Yes. You can re-enable Expanded Discovery & Interaction at any time in your Privacy Preferences Center.

Can I choose which Match Group apps I’m shown on?

At the moment, you can choose to be shown on all MG apps or only on Yuzu. Turning this setting off will prevent your Yuzu profile from being shown on other apps.

What if I don’t see a consent for Expanded Discovery & Interaction in my privacy settings?

This feature only applies to users for whom the consent appears. It may not be available in some regions or on some surfaces.
